ok folks start posting your net ids and locations for irish cable users,the more we get the easier for other to get box up and running.
so net id and location and symbol rate please post.

Looks like Symbol Rate is 6875 and Modulation QAM is 64 for all localities. Your search should find 235 TV channels and 30 Radio channels.
Update: original box search finds duplicate channels, NET ID search finds 204 channels including some data channels.

i used that but its not correct for my netid as all my hd were blank lol,well i have a good scart cablelol
interesting scanning on different symbol brings in hd.

Cactikid at the risk of dumbNess I followed the setup guide got in the net id and symbol rate , but when I get to autobouquets makers all that's their for vm ,is virgin UK and if I select yes ,it gives area , the nearest I can find is Dublin or Waterford , do I select one of them ? , also can you tell me were the frequency goes , thanks in advance for your patience. i have not used abm as its only new to work over here,cant remember if under virgin uk was us.frequency only thing on that is on a manual scan setup.

found this.
Got there in the end. Will be in 014 or any image built after this commit. Provider name is Horizon.(y)
 
Cactikid sorry bud , don't understand the second part , are you saying just do a manual scan ? , in the abm you do have to select area, if you dont select area it won't let you save changes to move to next step so I'm stuck there , can you explain the second part of your post , sorry bud for being a noob , it starting to freak me out now cheers .......

when I drop down virgin to areas, number 014 it's ANDOVER. .......
haven't got a clue where to go from here ? guys any ideas are much appreciated, thanks in advance guys .?.....

Sounds like you'll need to update as cactikid said the horizon option is on vix4.1.014 and above I'm still on vix4.1.010 but when testing later images they had the horizon option on.

You can download the providers files from here https://github.com/oe-alliance/Auto...ster/AutoBouquetsMaker/providers/cable_ie.xml see if that works click on raw copy all the text past in Notepad and save as cable_ie.xml then ftp it to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/AutoBouquetsMaker/providers then reboot box when you goto providers you should be able to see the horizon option
