You don't need to factory reset. Just flash the image and everything will be hunky dory.

Sucmnsee Hades problems
Hi,
I recently got the zgemma star 2s pre loaded with VIX but not without some problems!
Running VIX
As on the screenshot " image information" in the first post
with these exceptions;
Model; MaxDigitalXP1000
Version Hades
Build 018
Drivers 2015-06-18
Last update 2015-07-09

Also Softcam setup shows - Active:mgcamd.1.38. and selected
Problems are,
On menu, shows the channels but not all the current programmes are displayed.
Can only record what I am watching, can't record one channel and view another.
Can I update settings or must I reflash, bearing in mind I don't have a note of the c-line or n-line?

This might sound silly but you do have both tuners configured, cables connected and USB mounted and configured? The easiest way for getting your nline would be to FTP into you box and take a copy of your newcamd.list, in usr/keys or var/keys.

Or if ur lines not in the newcamd.list look in /etc/CCcam.cfg.
I made the noob error of advising newcamd.list copy out the other day advising before someone reflashed. Turns out was a dummy newcam and took him cpl of days to get his line back.

Thanks for that redeyez_ni. Checked and found tuners configured ok. Swapping cables and doing channel search proved that I could not get channels on one cable so when I traced it back I found it had been bent and probably broken. Cut back cables, new end connectors, service searching and automatic scans followed by download of crossepg and now have everything sorted. I've also found the n line or cws whichS I've copied and kept for reference.

Have you 2 cables connected to the box or are you only using 1 .
both cables connected, had them connected to another box and working fine, plugged in the zgemma and getting tuner failed not even free view coming through :/

Did you change tuner b to cable because the image is set for satellite

If you have Sucmnsee image loaded you have to change tuner b for cable as its set up for sat in configure add net id and symbol rate this may help you http://www.techkings.org/general-cable-tv/65283-guide-how-set-up-e2-combo-box-vix-image.html

Hi all,
Finally got confirmation my Zgemma star 2s has arrived. I have done other boxes without problems but never done a zgemma before. I really like the look of your setup and read through the notes. The only thing I am unclear on is there are 2 lots of folders. The Zgemma folder is the core software, I get that, and to change my Nline I can FTP to the box but I am unsure what the mgcamd folder is for? Is this required for anything in particular?
Any help appreciated.

Thanks sucmnsee, using your image as the channels are in SD order first on bouquets.
Some observations:
menu text offset but corrected in Setup as per previous posters comments
The system crashed and rebooted when trying to change skin but can't recreate it..
Is it possible for you to add the build version on front banner screen?
Also another suggestion, maybe a new discussion thread for each image you create for better continuity?
