VM HD Skin V1.5

I have uploaded this for those people who have been requesting the latest VM HD Skin.

Download the attached ipk file and ftp it to /tmp of your reciever

Installation:

Telnet command

opkg update && opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk

Does this work on both vix and openatv? And have you uploaded this to github to update or does it have to be updated manually?
 
It should work well with ATV...I dont knw about Vix as I hv never used it...cant be in github as it has Virgin Media logos...

Anyone confirm if this works with Vix? I really like the look of this but don't want to risk my box going breasts to the sky.

Try it make a backup first but more than likely if it doesn't work it'll get stuck on boot then you can just ftp to usr/share/enigma2 and delete the skin

Ok, cheers. I presume there's a sticky about backing up? I'm relatively new to this but I'll have a look.
 
Most skins I've tried (and I've tried a few) work on vix and ATV, I haven't come across one that doesn't work.

ive just tried this on vix 3.2036 theres a few screens like crossepg and vix menu that isnt skinned but they show as a red box and with chabs saying that he hasn't used vix that's probably why

i might use this skin when i get a vm box good work chabs
 
Tried this and everything worked EXCEPT the mini TV on the EPG's. It was just a white box. Any ideas? I had a fiddle in set up but couldn't get it to work, which is a shame. Nice looking skin which I'd love to use if I can get it to work.

That has to do with the converters. Extract the ipk file using 7zip and go to usr/lib/enigma2/python/components/converters

There is a file named EventName.pyo

Delete any EventName.py or EventName.pyo in your box and ftp the one you have extracted and restart your box to solve the pig (Picture in Graphics) and event descriptions

tried that its still the same i think it transferred over when the ipk installed do you know where to get the original file to see if that works?
 
It will not overwrite the original file during installation. You need to delete both the .py and pyo and then transfer the one in the ipk file then restart box to get it to work.

no sorry its still the same its a shame though because i would have used this when i got a virgin box thanks for trying
