Zgemma LC

I'm at work at the minute, I'll send you some info later on. For now download the plugin. I'll send you my personal settings (you can always change them)

Edit: yes make sure your USB or HDD is mounted and you have converted to ext 4.
I'll go through the other settings later once I'm I front of my box.

i used the openatv from here, after the flash its in german but understandable, hdmi setup etc, on around the third screen you can pick english/uk as language, if you use red button earlier it defaults to english/us. automatic setup over manual if you choose to do so in first time run, ignoring leads to it not finding internet next screen.
used kidda c barebones as a base guide, thanks dude!
i then ftp the softcam ipk and ccam file over.
downloaded autobouquet maker plugin from system, the one in extensions is for satellite.
i downloaded xmltvimporter from extensions.
when you start installing kidda c states restarts are needed, what i found was dreaded blue screens of death claiming enigma2 failed and it automatically reboots.
this maybe box specific however?
so just install softcam and autoboquete for now, and don't fret over bsd.
menu/setup/service for autoboquette setup, straightforward.
then menu/panel/softcam hit install for your choice, 2.3.0 for me, and start cam.
deep breath
then initialise hdd, menu/setup/system/storage, then ext3/4, restart needed if it dosent itself.
epg, timeshift and recording should give you the option to save, i found if i tried earlier during a reboot/bsd hdd/usb was unusable, corrupt until clean flash.
lastly created a swapfile menu/info panel/plugins.

turn brightness up a notch in gui for clock led in standby.

i noticed when the hdd/usb crapped out the first led number would blink.

used a tdk for the initial flash.

other than the remote being a little sluggish in menus, it appears to be a great box.
will try kodi or xbmc addon i noticed later, had kodi on a previous install but couldn't find a live match!

Update on Zgemma LC
Not sure how you guys are getting on with your new purchases, but i'm not that impressed to be honest, the box lacks memory so its slow to carry out tasks like loading the EPG.
I've stripped just about everything that is not needed including all EPG importing plugins, cutlistediter, picture player, dvd player, hdmicec, imdb etc etc.
Found it to be unstable on ATV crashing my box as my memory maxed out just trying to change the ABM settings provider to my area.
Give up with ATV after 2 hours of slowness and crashes.
Loaded VIX on the box, cache flush installed, taken out the epg importers (just using the standard 24hr one that comes in on the feed) and the box is now stable but still a little slow. Loaded Kiddac's VSKIN BOLT on and (taking out the other skin and leaving the default skin alone)
Had a small amount of pixelation (possible due to a sensitive tuner) which i don't ever usually get on other boxes.
Not tried loading IPTV as i think it will slow the the box down even further.
Conclusion - buy another box if your considering this one, at £58 Delivered i don't think its a good buy, the H2H it a miles better box just utilising the cable tuner. (£89)
If you have one and want to try my back up image PM me and i'll set up a drop box link tomorrow evening, its running as quick as i can get it to run, others might by happy with what i've done (especially if you don't have dual threading 1.3 ghz processors in other boxes) :-)
i'll possibly upload my back up image once its tested properly.

invaluable info mate..good work.saves someone like me a lot of stress, being new to this game.i'll give it a try, when you've got time to post a link.

I don't know what you expected it is a single core cpu that does just cable so it's basic cable version of zgemma s.

The newer ones used dual thread cpu so they would be quicker.

Not a fan of these zgemma anymore the price points are not as good as they was before and they are not releasing better hardware just same stuff in different package it's about time these boxes had 1024mb ram and a model with a dual core cpu.

To be honest with it being a relatively new box to come out i was expecting it to run quicker (i should of really read the spec properly) yes your right, there bringing new equipment to the market with the same insides as previous models, if you don't check the spec properly you think your getting the latest model.
Oh well ill have a little play with it before deciding on sending it back or not.
:)
