Sky Q and Z Gemma 2

my zgemma 2 box isn't working with my recent installation of sky q. I have read they're not compatible and need an adapter. However a friend also has sky q and his is working

Do I need to change settings on my box potentially?

Failing that what's the best/cheapest option to fit a second Satelitte dish. I've looked on gum tree etc to no avail.

Thanks

Ivel just ordered a hybrid lnb. Hiw do i know where to plug tbe wires in? There are 6 potential places for the 2 wires?

Some engineers are getting funny about this now saying they have to report every hybrid LNB install to there office, happend to a mate of mine.

They can get funny all they want if you state to them you have freesat around the house that is enough doesn't matter if they report it you are doing nothing wrong all it's about is cost hybrids cost more to produce and if the installer is in a hurry which most are they do not always do full checks so if you have freesat issue it is for them to correct that.

I totally agree with you.
They had my mates wife over with regards to this. The engineer said he's going to report them for using a illegal receiver even though it wasnt connected to the internet nor did he switch it on to check it.
My mates wife said do what you have to get gone.
This has left him buying a hybrid LNB himself.
The attitude of the engineer will back fire for the satellite company in question as he's changing over to cable after the current deal expires.

So make note of this to the spy's in the camp ;-)

These receivers are not illegal but if left out in sight a lot of installers will report ones that are known even if it is being used for just freesat. (they used to give you perks for reporting)

You report or refuse to accept the install is complete if this happens it is up to the customer what they want so he should get on to sky stating the installer refused the proper install and now he is left without freesat in other rooms.

Attitude has always been like this because those guys are treated like s**t and do not get paid well so they pass it on also you do get some that think they know all/untouchable.
