hi all I hope someone can help. I have had recording problems with the last few weeks because tuner b is not getting a signal without a restart and once restarted recording is no problem and tuner b has signal in service searching until I put the box into standby again then once I power it up I have to restart again to get tuner b to work. would anyone have any idea why this is happening, would it be a tuner fail as I have tried every configuration possible and ruled out dish or lnb or cable problems, Im running wb v5 on star 2s with all updates done and have done a fresh install and numerous reflashes and still no joy. any help greatly appreciated thanks.

I can't help with the route of the problem but there's absolutely no need to put the box into standby and since the issue is only being caused by you putting it into standby, the most simple solution is to just not put it into standby :)

hi again, the problem with the tuner has nothing to do with standby, tuner b is not picking up a signal at all now. however when I flash a different system on the box it works perfectly with full signal so I am able to record two channels as normal. However I like wooshies build and ATV so I would like to go back to it if I could so if anybody could help me with whats happening to my tuner on atv please do. thanks

???

yes that's what I thought because I was associating the tuner problem with putting the box into standby and then having to restart to pick up the signal again however after further investigation I found out that the signal is dropping on tuner b even when the box has been on for a while and I have tried every setting and configuration but it hasn't worked and also this problem started when I reflashed v5 to be able to access wb tv bouquet so as I said any help greatly appreciated. thanks

have you got your loop out connected to another box?

hi, no I haven't a second box connected I have just done what poster said earlier and not turning off the box or putting into standby and only doing one recording because if I do two recordings or turn off or put into standby for any length of time then tuner b goes down and there is no signal it has me baffled to be honest ive tried everything thanks
