Please help a fella, was using dreambox for sky tv, but hd channels are gone, got vm broadband on a cable, can anyone direct me on a right track, can i use cable box from here in a same way ? Does the box work straight, or need special img flashing, do i need to use servers for decoding(pay a fee ) or box does it on its own, any info would be helpful, many thanks ;)
 
you'll need a cable box which has a cable tuner, youll need a connection/line to access premium channels and you'll also need an image/build on the box for it to work

are there any plug and play boxes out there, and what do you exactly mean by connection/line ?
 
you'll need the line to access the premium channels, if I were you I'd do a bit of research on the boxes and pick one then flash the image yourself.
the fact you've posted about plug and play means you will be contacted via pm to say yeah it can be done, not the best idea in my opinion

any box that you could recommend, wanna use my nas as a mount for stop and record if possible
 
If you post on here for twin tuner cable boxes someone will post a list, then you can decide which one is the best option. Most will give you info on the box as well
 
Sorry to impose on this thread but i couldnt see were to start a new one. I also need help, i have re imaged my technomate tm twin oe with the Vix image and now i need to install a CAM, i have been advised by line provider to use mgcamd but i can not get it installed. Then i believe i need to add the newcamd.list file in somewhere. Can anyone help me.
 
anyone know how to get mgcamd installed when its not available from the plugins download section?

is it downloadable anywhere that it can then be placed on the box via ftp?
