IPTV FOR BEGINNERS

Ok with all the recent events that has been happening lately regarding most premium channels no longer working i just wanted to point a few things out to users who are new to the world of IPTV

1 - DO ALOT OF RESEARCH BEFORE TAKING THE PLUNGE AS THERE ARE ALOT OF IPTV PROVIDERS OUT THERE JUST WAITING TO TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY, ESPECIALLY NOW

2 - IPTV IS NOTHING LIKE WHAT YOUR USE TO UNLESS YOUR FAMILIAR WITH THE WORLD OF STREAMING

3 - MAKE SURE YOUR BOX CAN HANDLE IPTV, TELL THE POTENTIAL PROVIDER WHAT BOX YOU INTEND TO USE IT ON

4 - ASK THE PROVIDER FOR A TEST LINE
ALSO ASK DO THEY PROVIDE ONGOING SUPPORT

5 - IPTV IS GOOD BUT NOT PERFECT BUT IF YOU HAVE A GOOD PROVIDER WITH GOOD SUPPORT YOU MIGHT GET SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN WATCH AND ENJOY LIKE WHAT YOUR USE TO

6 - IPTV IS ALL ABOUT STREAMING SO ALL CHANNELS ARE STREAMED VERY SIMILAR TO LIVE STREAMING YOU SEE IN THE LIKES OF KODI (IT MIGHT BE A GOOD STREAM BUT COULD BE VERY BAD) IPTV DOES NOT COME FROM YOUR SKY DISH TO YOUR BOX, IT IS STREAMED VIA INTERNET SO YOU NEED GOOD UNLIMITED BROADBAND

7- LAST OF ALL IS THE EPG DATA, ALOT OF IPTV PROVIDERS DO NOT HAVE EPG DATA SO UNLESS YOU KNOW ELSEWHERE WHATS ON AT WHAT TIME THEN ALL YOU WILL SEE IS THE CHANNEL NAME

I HOPE THIS HELPS NEWBIES BEFORE TAKING THE PLUNGE

ASK ASK ASK ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BUYING BECAUSE ONCE YOU HAVE PURCHASED IT, THE FUN AND THE LESSON TO LEARN BEGINS

GOOD LUCK NEWBIES

well said iptv is far from perfect compared to c/s but in my opinion better than kodi. my iptv provider sent me epg files for the sly channels today none for the foreign channels tho but more than happy with it under current circumstances

Hi as a guide what sort of price would you be looking at for the iptv line? Thanks

Hi my provider is 25 for 6 and 45 for 12 im not gonna pay big bucks, i still live in hope c/s gets sorted lol i just use it for the footie mostly to be honest

Ok thanks Will explore it before i take the change then. Same here not a lot of the channels are used but the ones that do get used are on most days. Crazy monthly subscription seems crazy to go back to. hoping that i will wake up one morning and it will be back on too.lol
Thanks

Yea hopefully someone works a miracle before the footie season starts again lol meanwhile iptv will keep me going will explore options again come august lol

Just a question with regards to Test lines. Has anyone come across where you've asked for a test line. Test line is good and no issues. Once you have started the subscription the quality is not as what you expected as starts to buffer. Can you be given a good test line and then your subscription line is not as good

Haven't experienced that

Certain times of the day, local broadband use all affect IPTV.
I have been testing several providers, some with EPG, some without, some respond quick, others don't.
Spend some time, when you find one, get 3m / 6m and see how you go from there.
Check your broadband is up to spec, do speedtests and get real world throughput, take of 2mb for overhead and you have your average speed.
