Coutinho to Barcelona for £90m

I support Liverpool and I think Liverpool should sell Coutinho and ask to loan him back for the season. Everyone wins, what are your thoughts?

I'm not a LFC fan but If he's going which it looks like he is, there's no chance of him staying on loan I don't think... besides, why would LFC want him there anyway if he can't commit his loyalty to the club.

But Barcelona ideally need a replacement for Neymar now, not in January or next summer. It's already too messy I think so I can't see a loan back being an option.

He will just spit his dummy out like most players do to force there way out a club and get what he wants I would just let him go saves disrupting Liverpools season and I'm a Chelsea fan at that

I would take Costa and Van Dyke, I don't know if Liverpool would accept Costa, he turned them down before he went to Chelsea.

Lets face it he's no Suarez, no where near and he went eventually. No foreign player has loyalty to any of our clubs and are mercenaries. As fans we like to believe they want to play for our club because of the phoney retterick when they first join ( we've heard it all before ). Football is just a business, everyone in it for the money except the fans who are the ones being played and fleeced.

I agree with what you are saying but Drogba had loyalty to Chelsea there does need to be loyalty but it's money over everything else every time

As a player, if Barca or Real Madrid come knocking, that must be the ultimate accolade you can achieve in club football.

Liverpool are great going forward. Defensively they've been a shambles for years. Use the money to address that.

I criticized Liverpool for spending so much on Sadio Mane but he's been the difference for you guys - looking back on his price tag now, it's pittance for what he's contributed... just goes to show that you can still get quality players for a decent price so the money recouped could potentially get you 2-3 top players. I can't see why they're dragging it out to be honest as it's obvious he wants to go - they've even removed his face from the club shop so there must be something in motion.
