Recommend a box

Hi all,

Wee bit of help please, I’ve been looking into IPTV for the 1st time, I’ve normally used cable but can no longer receive VM at new address.

Question is what’s the most reliable way of using IPTV, I understand a good subscription is a must but which boxes or firestick works best? Or which should I stay away from?

Either a Z+ Formuler Box or Mag 322 BOX. Both good if you have a good tinternet Speed.
My Tinternet ain’t the best download speed, it actually comes through phone cables, it is still broadband tho. Think it’s all about ping Tate or something tho because playing like FIFA is far better than when I had VM

MAG's are easy to set up and use. But basically only run IPTV.

A decent Android box like the T95Z plus or anything with about 3gb RAM will do the trick too.

They are more flexible as you can have the MAG look plus run Apps like Terrarium which will give you all
the films and boxsets you need.

You can get all the catch up channels if your TV isn't smart and run a dodgy Netflix account amonst other things.

Where would one be likely to find a T95z? WOS is where I got previous stuff but can’t see them there

My mate ran a MAG with 8Gb download speed, it was awful, same box ran fine at my house with
about 16Gb so that should give you some idea of what you need.

your net speed is important regardless of box choice, sd can run on as little as 6 - 8mb but for hd you will need over 10mb minimum (15+ really), you also need to consider how many other devices are on your network as they will also be using your bandwidth which may cause problems IF your net speed is low so before you make a box choice check your net speed

Only had slightly over 6mb on speed test maybe too little for a box

thats low, time to look for a new net provider or a way of boosting your speed, not much point imo buying a high end box as it wont perform the way it should on 6mb lol, IF you are lucky enough to live in the catchment area have a look at B4arn internet (not for profit broadband)

Would it be a waste of time getting a basic box for sd channelss, Spose I could borrow a firestick and try that first before buying

to be honest with such a low speed Id be looking to boost or change your net provider but IF thats not an option then Id look for a cheap box or firestick... if you have a smart TV Id try a test line run through an app like Perfect Player just to see IF your net is up to running these systems

Before changing providers I’d prefer try to boost, how do I boost my speed? I’m not sure changing providers would speed it up as it’s still the same input cables and VM isn’t currently available
