I've reflashed this box with the latest openvix image and cant seem to get it up and running, the fta channels are there but nothing else. I've scanned the channels in and ftp the line and mgcam. the network connection is ok. The last time I did this was when the box was setup initially over two years ago, am I missing something ( or have I forgotten something) or has the procedure changed since the original setup. Any help would be much appreciated.

Yes I put the mg-cfg in user/keys along with the line, the softcam starts and stops and the line has just been renewed and I've been told it's ok.
I am still using the i.38 soft cam but I noticed there seems to be a newer version so I was wondering if the new image was still compatible wit the old softcam?

There isn't a newer version of mgcamd than 1.38
did you paste your line into newcamd.list, then ftp it to usr/keys folder?
are you using a cable or satelite line?
Being told something is ok doesn't make it so, sat lines are normally provided as C lines, did you request a CWS (mgcamd) line as this sounds like a cable line to me
Line pasted into newcam.list then ftp to usr/keys. I am using cable (vm) The line is an N line which is prefixed cws. This setup worked perfectly before the reflash. The only other thing I can think of is the ID number which I left as all zeros. I followed the excellent guide which was supplied by your good self if I remember correctly. I think it was about 2.5 years ago.

if you mean the deskey after the username and password, this is 01 02 03 all the way up to 14
have you scanned for channels in autobouquetsmaker?
did you set your netid?
