Zgemma H2H/Vermin issues

So, as of yesterday morning, I am getting massive Pixelation on ALL Vermin Channels, some more so than others, including FTA Chans.
So far I have re-booted, and ultimately re-flashed my Box (Wooshbuild 7). Re-booted Router, tried three different Splitters inc. Technetix, Tratec, and Koning ( all 5-1000Hz). I have also tried another "line" from a wholly different supplier, just to rule that possibility out.

I have thoroughly checked all connections and cabling, all to no avail.
My Internet seems fine, and running at the full 200Meg either on Speedtests, or NTTP Downloading.

Been running this Box for well over a year now, and never had these issues before; and I'm now at a loss to solve it. I have no idea whether it is the Tuner in the Box gone tits up (well known issue), or perhaps Vermin themselves with perhaps a Local issue. (NO relevant info on their Status page...as usual, lol)
These are my signal levels as of 5 mins ago............would be grateful for any suggestions Guys.
I should also add, my Sly Chans, and IPTV are working as they should, with no issues.

Maybe vermin have changed something at the local box? is this at the point where the line comes into the house?

I am having similar issues.

I have tried two boxes for virmin services. A Zhemma H2H and a Edision OS Mini + and both seem to be having problems with getting all channels working correctly.

about 70% channels work fine, there are few however that dont work at all and it seems to be a signal problem because when I directly connect the box to the first point which comes into the house (where currently the modem is) all channels work fine and the signal shows to be stronger. However when I had the house done, I asked for a coaxial line to be installed from the bedroom (where the broadband modem is) down to the lounge. This is where I think the problem is, the signal must get weak by the time it gets there.

So I invested in a Technrix HDU-400 amplifer unit as suggested by other users on the forum however this hasnt made any difference, I have also invested in some better quality cabling to see if that would address and it hasnt.

Anyone who owns the HDU-400? Can the output go into any socket or would I get better signal from a certain port?

Any advice on this would be most appreciated.

Thanks

I've highlighted above the problem levels
The power levels should be between -6 and +10, three of yours in yellow are below the limit
The absolute minimum for SNR is 34.5 and some of yours are lower than this, marked in red...one is borderline at 34.6 but they should all really be 38 or higher

You've already answered your own question - the signal is fine when it's connected direct but not ok when it's via the longer cable.
Firstly, you can't just add extra lengths of cable without it being calibrated by VM, it throws the signal all to cock which is why they add attenuators and such likes in order to get it right at the end point
You need proper shielded VM cable, not coax

That would be why..any idea why after nearly 2 years this is happening, and any suggestions as to how to solve it?

look in the brown box at the front of your house, open it with a philips screw driver and see if there is an attenuator fitted.if so try removing it and join the cables togeather with a female to female coupler it might improve the signal.

I don't have a "Brown Box" outside; the Cable comes into the house direct from the Ground. Was cabled in when the House was built
Looks like I need to find a way to get Vermin to turn the power back up, lol

ignore that, you are the poster above

you need to ring VM and tell them that you've run some tests and the power levels are miles out
they'll send someone out. put the boxes under the stairs before they arrive

I planned to reboot the router over and over, but randomly, and tell them my internet is constantly dropping out, and upon checking, the power/snr levels are all to whack
Obviously hiding the box first lol

they may just send a line refresh remotely to see if that does the trick - sometimes it does
if not, they'll send someone to adjust your connection in the green cabinet

I've got the levels a little higher, using a different Splitter, & switching Router off for 2 mins, & whilst still pixellating, it is a bit better.
Would replacing the 10m length of RG6 co-ax fitted with screw on F Plugs I'm currently using, with WF100 and Gold Compression fittings make much more of a difference?

If you are getting pixellation this is 99% certain to be the splitter and/or cables
if you have a Screwfix nearby (they're open til 8pm) they sell Labgear splitters for about a fiver
You need the shortest possible length of good quality cable from router to downstairs box.
10m seems a lot, is there no shorter route?
compression fittings would be better and yes, wf100 would be better than rg6

I'll get a new splitter tomorrow, & order a ready made lead online. I can't make it any shorter, as my PC & Router are upstairs in the Spare Room (Man Cave, lol), & The TV/Zgemma downstairs.

Thanks for the help; appreciated

Just an update today, had Vermin out today..some cabling into the House was replaced, and the Guy said he would move me up a level on the Street Cab, whatever that means.
Anyway...after all that, my power levels are now within Spec, & still the problem exists, it's actually no better at all.
Interesting though....if I browse the internet on ANY OTHER device, or use the Playstation, the TV picture totally breaks up. Uploading any thing at all freezes the picture totally.
Out of ideas now sadly, anyone have any suggestions?
