OPENBOX V8-SE (Plus) IPTV Xtream App

V8-SE Plus new firmware with Xtream App. Don't need M3U file for IPTV anymore. Just enter Host, user name and password and you go. No freezing.

****GOOD NEWS****
This firmware can be installed on to old V8S boxes (but it will cost £5 plus postage) Surprise surprise... I'm not sure off what this means but it's a step closer

Hi. Had my V8SE arrive today. Although for the life of me I cannot figure out how to use it via Xtream, I have loaded the m3u file onto the Web TV facility. I gotta say that unlike its predecessor the V8S, it is working perfectly with no locking up whatsoever when changing channels. Good news for anybody who wants a cheapo box that works well.

Hi to use xtreamcode you have to buy a sub, they give you host, username and password which you enter in your box.

This is really nothing new - It is an IPTV server that you have to buy from someone, the only difference is that it does not come in M3U format, it is activated by entering a username and password supplied by the supplier of your IPTV line.

Please keep on content, and behave towards other members, or you risk being banned. there is no reason to abuse others

I am aware of this. Probably didn't explain myself very well. Initially on a V8S, I bought a sub in m3u format, and it did not perform well with constantly locking up when changing channel.
I then got s V8SE, and tried a 24 hour trial which included address, username and password for the Xtream, but could not get it to work.
After that, I reverted back to using my m3u sub on the new V8SE, and it is working flawlessly with no freezing or locking up issues.

Not u pal I only asked question and got jumped on tanks for answering might look for some info on it

Has anyone managed to get this new firmware working on a V8s as I would love to continue using the box as till now it's never let me down. Just don't fancy buying a h2s box then iptv goes tits up.

i rang the bloke who owns that forum u dont have to pay 5 pounds lol its free u need to take it from his last flash for xtream codes lol

The document below states at the moment the V8S cannot use the Xtream app.
Unlike the V8SE version of the box.

A few of my mate still have them.

As my IPTV server doesn't supply M3U files it seems like a MAG256 is a decent solution to their problem unless
anyone knows different.

Yojiatech show no new firmware has been released since 09-10-2015 for the V8 model
since they added the network app.

It's the same as the version from this other site, the number 5 download
linked above is an old channel list :grin::grin:
