iptv validation help needed

A bit of a long story here and I hope someone can offer help

I have a Zgemma H-S connected fine to my host, my C-Line is installed and available channels work flawlessly, I installed XtreamTV 0.0.1 and purchased IPTV from my host, installed great and worked ok.

IPTV refused to connect last weekend, after numerous emails I was told by my host that a new build of XtreamTV had been released and my box had not updated. They sent me a link to the new ipk, I could not access any links with any device to download the new plugin, and finally the host company emailed me the ipk. I installed version 0.0.2 and again it would not validate.

I have factory reset the box, installed the latest image of OpenATV, installed all system updates, and still cannot connect to the host server.

After numerous emails and checking my host company have said it maybe be a network issue, they have told me my address is active on their servers and asked me to check youtube, I cannot get any youtube lists to load.

I have checked all network settings, the box says it is connected and working, my router says the box is connected and working. My C-Line channels are still clearing but I cannot get my IPTV to validate.

Any advice would be appreciated

getting really frustrated, my supplier is stating that his server connection is open to my mac address and that the issue is network related, this is hard to understand when my box connects to youtube, and still runs my existing Cline

Good idea as can cause issues with stuff like this...have you tried changing your DNS servers either on the box or at the router? I use google's which are 8.8.4.4 and 8.8.8.8 at router level. I think the Talk Talk router allows you to assign manually as a lot of ISP supplied routers dont.

I will try altering the settings as you have suggested and see how I go

Worth a try, also reboot router if you've not done it since having issues as seen before softcam working fine but streams not working and a router reboot sorted it, but I would change the DNS servers at router and reboot router and see.

Hi gmangt4
Hope your well, what does altering the dns in router affect for better or for worse when using our iptv/ cline? What known dns server setting is better than that original set on router as i run new Q router
