Motorised dish set up.

Can anyone help please is there a dummies guide to setup a motorised setup on my xtrend8500. Thank you.

There is no guide as such,
What do you need to know,?
Make sure your mount is south facing, with a clear line of sight to the SATs you want to receive.
important, VERY IMPORTANT, your mount MUST be dead plumb in all planes, if its not dead plumb you will never get your setup sorted properly.

I'm fitting my motorised system in the next couple of weeks, weather and work permitting, and will try and do a step by step guide then.

I have a dish up 88cm and it's pointing to 28e ATM just need to know how to do setup on my xtrend 8500 thanks

Is your pole dead plumb?
You are probably going to have to take dish down and change elevation and set the motor dead south, unless you have already done this and manually driven the motor to 28e
We're just guessing here as to what you have, or haven't already done.

I use to have a spider box 6000 which I would use to watch different SATs on but since I got the xtrend I have only used it for 28e and never touched the motor setting but with being enigma2 it will be the first time I have tried to find different SATs, so I just need a dummies guide to help me around it, ie do I go usals or manually, hope this helps, cheers again.

So it is a guide on the box settings you want? If you have the users manual there is a setup guide in there.

Hi all,I have a Edison os mini twin sat ,openvix installed,running a iptv sub.I am going to install a motorised dish ,I would like some advice if it is possible to run both systems of the one receiver.

Yes, I have an OSmini, I don't run IPTV, but it is possible,
I have 13 19 and 28 currently on it, and will be fitting a motorised dish as soon as I get a chance.

I would say it is possible but not sure if reliable
The set up I have is:- And an old MXQ box if any one wants it

Reliability and recording is on TM-TWIN-OE With CCcam = works well

Motorised is driven by - Tm-Nano-Se-Plus = works well with Euro Cam

IPTV is on TM-Nano-Se on 28e with CCcam. = With decent suppliers

Not sure if Motorised and IPTV will work well on same box

as the Edison mini has the same chipset as the nano
