Ip address unconfirmed

Hi having a problem with my H5.2tc, I unplugged it this morning but when I have turned it back on am getting ip address unconfirmed on network test. The box is showing the original ip address the box was using. So have reset the router to give it a different ip address also reset/paired the homeplugs but still showing ip address unconfirmed. This did happen a few months back but just left it and the following morning everything was working fine. Am using the ipab image if that's any help with this cheers.

I would switch the lot off, reboot the router first and then switch the homeplugs on, they should find each other without having to reset or press pair
and the box from the socket

I have sorted it bit of a nightmare. Basically have swapped all the homeplugs round the house and brought the router downstairs to plug directly into the box, but the problem now the back 2 bedrooms aren't getting much WiFi so be back to square 1 when the kids start moaning ha

try starting your DCHP at .10 and giving your box a static IP of say .9
Wish I knew what that ment ha. Because have only unplugged it again and it's gone ip unconfirmed once again and this time it's plugged in to the router. I would just use a different image but have got an iptv subscription via ipab image.

what router do you have?
go into the settings and change start DCHP address at 192.168.1.10 or whatever numbering system your router uses, some are 192.168.0.10 instead of 192.168.1.1
then go into menu of your box and change its IP to 192.168.1.9
save settings,
turn off box, reboot router, then turn box on,
it should now have a static IP all the time so doesnt have to request one from the router, and wont conflict with any other devices

Virgin media hub. I knew the ip address was starting at 192.168.0.10 so have just changed the box ip to 192.168.0.9 and reboot router and turned the box on, but now am not even getting an ip address on the box.

have you hard wired to router and reboot box and router, also make sure box is not setup for wifi.
That's easy, was originally on homeplugs but just lost the ip address in network test. Swapped the the homeplugs for the router directly working great until I unplugged again and the same thing as happened ip unconfirmed. Have rebooted the router, box, latest ipab flash. Everything possible I believe I can do. Am feeling it's a ipab software issue but as have got an iptv subscription via it. I need to work out what's causing this if I can ha

maybe faulty cable or homeplug?
Definitely not the homeplug as it's directly plugged into the router now. Have ruled out the cable as have tried 6 different ones ha everything is green in network test just apart from ip address coming back as unconfirmed

if every thing is green box must have an ip then?
maybe best to save line and cfg and reflash with an other image to rule out faulty lan port

did you you manage to sort it out, cos i have the exact problem. The box works fine on virgin hub2.0

But on the virgin hub3.0 unconfirmed IP address

tried it, rebooted several times, diferent etherenet cables, tried another VM router then hub then box.
tried 2 different images. static ip and DHCP

only thing left is to factory reset the router

mines started playing up with whooshbuild... reflashed, changes ethernet cables, tried new homeplugs the lot. im with vodafone. im getting all green lights on network test ip unconfirmed.

my channels are working fine and then boom off they go and i get unconfirmed ip address and my iptv providers app says no interent connection.

although i can still download plugins and use iptv player for movies. its just my iptv side of things dies and i get unconfirmed ip?

there are loads of posts using hub 3 and to put it into modem mode and use external router for wifi,if using homeplugs what types and is anything plugged into socket beside it?
