SF-500A Sat Finder Help Needed for Astra 28.2

Hi all ,

I bought an SF-500A Digital Satellite Finder to help align my dish a few years ago and just couldn't get the thing to work properly. Mainly because the pre-installed satellites within the finder are not for this country ...

I can enter my own details for Astra 28.2e but I cant get hold of the informastion on the net anywhere. Either that or im not recognising the data when it is presented ...

This Sat finder has two screens of information to input to set up a satellite ... Pics Screen1.jpg Screen2.jpg

Could anyone help me out and let me know the figures for :
LO Freq
22k (On or Off)
Down Frequency
Symbol Rate
Polarity

I presume you pick on one channel on Astra 28.2 and input the figures for that and hopefully all the rest will be fine ???

Please help ...

Thanks in advance

YNA

P.S The figures you see inserted are my efforts from the net for BBC London and not built into the sat finder ...

its NOT called sky 28.2e for a start
its
Astra 2E/2F/2G
or something like that
dunno if thats a problem or not though,
what do you want, a TP and frequency.?

Cheers for the reply Steptoe ...
Trouble is I DON'T KNOW what I want mate ... or more accurately what I need on those screens to use that meter to align dish for a better signal ... absolute noob at this mate ... i'm sure there are others that have the same meter as it was very popular a few years back ...

ok
FTA channel on 28.2 - motorsport TV
freq 11306
22K on
symbol 27500
pol H
not sure what down is/means.?

EDIT : thats probably not the best channel to be looking for blind, you want to look for a really strong channel firstly, then fine tune on a fairly weak one.
