Last movie you seen & rate it ?

The Shape Of Water 6/10.
13 Oscar nominations? Don't see why...

I'd have thought it was pretty obvious really.
All you need to win an oscar is to make sure there's no one in the film that anyone has ever heard of, and preferably make the leading role either lesbian, blind, mute, paraplegic or all four and then just wait for the phone to ring, I could write half a dozen every week

Thor Ragnarok
6/10 for me
Just didn’t feel right and was almost as if it was trying to be something it shouldn’t be.

Also
Guilty Pleasure movie of mine
Mr Right
8.5/10
Sam Rockwell and Anna Kendrick
He’s a hitman with a conscience and she’s Anna Kendrick

darkest hour - or churchill on a train - was a pretty tense film. but one scene on the tube was nauseating, when you see it you will know it. abandoned all realism, may as well have had churchill talking to unicorns as portray him as a man who connected with the working classes of the day - they fucked him off first chance they got after the war. he was as likely seen as a part of the ruling classes sending their brothers , fathers and husbands off to die. and the london of the war wasn't one of defiance, people where shitting themselves.

but apart from that one saccherine rewriting of history i really enjoyed it.

Detroit 10-10 based on true events the summer of 1967, rioting and civil unrest starts to tear apart the city of Detroit. Two days later, a report of gunshots prompts the Detroit Police Department, the Michigan State Police and the Michigan Army National Guard to search and seize an annex of the nearby Algiers Motel. Several policemen start to flout procedure by forcefully and viciously interrogating guests to get a confession. By the end of the night, three unarmed men are gunned down while several others are brutally beaten

watched my best friend's wedding with the missus last night. slumming it with a 90's throw-a-away romcom on a sat night was worth skipping MOTD for

god the 90s were charming, optimistic even. forgot how much so. there was a line that went summat like: 'you'll have to wait till the next century' which was cool to look back on. 90's were pre 9/11, pre radical islam, pre polarised left/right aka identiity politarding v alt right nonsense, no brexiteer bores and remoaning remedials, and when all politicians simply wanted to be tony blair or bill clinton you could spend an hour or two with cameron diaz, julia roberts and rupert everett camping it up like it was nearly 1999

anyway as much as i hate romcoms, this was actually ok. filled with people who are both odious and likeable in equal parts. some nice set pieces. and did i mention julia roberts?
