Enigma 2 freezing after a while

hi I’m currently running a h.2s for iptv I have taken all the Picons off & cam importer and all the bloat it is hard wired with stable internet running WB7 using extreme editor for epg through provider my only problem is every hour or so it freezes permently you have to change channel up/down to come back on its nothing provider related as I have it on smart iptv app ant it runs fine doesn’t miss a beet just prefer the sly loook e2 layout it doesn’t buffer just freezes I have no need for vpn iv cleared cach disabled time shift it’s like it’s loosing its signal a quick Chanel zap & it’s back on it’s just frustrating anyone else have this problem
 
I get the same problems ,but also the programme plays with no problem but as soon as adverts start it freezes. Vu solo 2 and a 50 meg Internet , quick zap up the channels and all is good again till the next adverts
 
If I watch the 3.00 ko on american chanels every half time adds it freezes yes don’t know why but even during the game on uk chanels it freezes not every hour it’s a bit hit & miss the exact time think it’s something to do with e2 boxes if a vu 2 is doing it it’s like the feed is disconnected don’t have the fault on webplayer or smart tv with the same supplier my pings are still low when it happens so have no idea how to stop it
 
Is there anybody else getting the freezes when the adverts start and has anybody any ideas of a workaround, I am using a vu+ solo2 on wooshbuild 7 iptv is threw extream editor plugin

I used to have the same thing. Ad breaks would come on and then the whole thing would freeze. Channel up and down and it worked again. I switched supplier and the problem went away and I'm still using an enigma2 box.

I know you have said your sub doesnt do it on a smart tv etc but switching supplier is the only way it got fixed for me.
 
Plus, my previous supplier used to deny this was even happening, even though their FB support page was full of people making the same comments. Based on this I switched supplier and as I say the problem went away.

I know people who still use my old supplier and apparently they have changed the stream sources they use and this has fixed the problem. So, I'm pretty confident it's a supplier issue.
 
Someone suggested on another thread in extreme editor check the service type mine was set to iptv changed the player to dvb1 and it was ok for the darts last night if it persists i am going to download the service app and set the player to extplayer in extreme editor think the problem for me is is the default iptvplayer dropping the stream http some players are better for some stream providers

I changed the player to dvb1 and the problem with it freezing when the adverts start seems to have stopped , I also conntacted my supplier about it so may be he has sorted it out , I have had the occasional freeze but nothing as bad as before the player freeze

Had the same problem, fixed it by doing the following and sorted it, by changing from the native player to ExtEPlayer

Menu - Plugins - Green to Download Plugins - System Plugins - SeviceApp and download/Restart Box
Menu - Setup - Usage And GUI - Service App - Change Enigma2 playback system to Service App and player to exteplayer.
Finally, if you're using xStream editor: Menu - Plugins - Xstream Editor - Service Type - Extplayer (5002).

Restart box and this should have a major improvement for IPTV running on enigma2.
 
Is there any way to do this and still have EPG Importer working, I did the above a while ago and yes it improved IPTV but EPG importer would not run, I had to change the player back, run EPG Importer and then change the player back. Pain in the ar5e having to do that every day.
 
Not sure, EPG works fine for me doing the above method.
I think I read here somewhere that your provider might have to change something on their end in the xStream portal.
 
Hi did anyone fine a workaround when changing service app to exteplayer to get epg working iptv plays best on this setting it just loses the epg every day and you have to switch back to original in service app and dvb1 in extreme editor and reboot box to get it back it’s a right pain

I got mine working like this.....

Change to exteplayer3 and reboot.....full reboot not just gui.

Then I changed all iptv type to enabled, but this option is in my providers plugin.
I use a provider clone of suls plugin, so yours may be different.
Full reboot.

Then run epgimport manually.

Epg now works.
 
Sorry I don’t have a provider plugin it’s all done his end through extreme editor line I just changed to exteplayer in service app& editor rebooted all is ok till next day when it runs the import then it loses the epg. Only use the box for iptv comes back on if I swich back and reboot box
 
Yes done all that its fine till it’s set to update epg every morning it’s like something is stopping extreme editor populating the epg every morning
 
If you're still using autoboquetmaker or autoboquets 28.2 and/or cross EPG for sat channels, make sure the import times are not conflicting with xstream editor.

XStream imports on the hour, so set other plugins to auto import at a half hour/15 min interval. So set Boquet maker to say 6.30am and cross EPG to 6.45 am.
