Hey, does anyone know how to decompile an apk and change it to install on any device? I have the MyTv online app from the Formuler android box. When I try to install on a non Formuler box it says it can't install because there is already an app of the same name installed?? There isn't though. I'm assuming it's coded to only run on a Formuler box? Can it be hacked/recompiled to install on a different box? I only ask because MyTv online is fantastic for iptv, better than any other app on Android by a mile! It appears to be based on stalker portal, but looks totally different. Anyway, if anyone can help it would much appreciated! Thanks.

Are you sure we're talking about the same thing? It's called Mytvonline and is only found on Formuler android boxes. It's not a kodi plugin.

MYTVonline. Not TV online, or MyTv. Google "Formuler MYTVonline" and watch one of the videos. Then tell me if that's available as a kodi plugin. I'll place a bet that it's not, hence the reason I'm trying to manipulate the code to make it work on any box, as it's unique to Formuler boxes! Oem software if you like.

Not sure then but too unknown and see it on facebook and it says support not good.I'd stick with a well known iptv provider with full support.
 
I believe they're German. MYTVonline is a middleware client, neither this or Formuler are iptv "providers". I have my iptv provider, I just want the smoothest and prettiest gui to watch it in. MYTVonline middleware provides this!

So back to the original request......can anyone manipulate an apk to allow it to install onto any android box (with the same chipset)?

This would be good to install on any android tv box, I have in on my formuler z7+ Box and it's great for iptv, the layout and the way it works but would love to get it on my mecool k1 pro box
 
Is it not the same as decompiling an Enigma2 ipk?
I use Universal Extractor to open the IPK and IPK Creator by Persian Prince to recompile after I've edited.

There must be similar tools for apk's knocking about.
 
There are decompile/recompile tools. But I couldn't figure out what to do with the decompiled data! I'm no programmer!!

mytv online is the best bit of IPTVsoftware i have seen - period.

being able to install it on a shield tv would be amazing - but i too get the error message you describe when trying to install the apk without any modification
 
We need someone with a bit of apk making knowledge to fudge it for us! I'd pay good money for it tbh, maybe even a tenner!!

bannosantoro , i just googled mytv online after reading this thread and the quality of streams on browser is excellent , had never heard of this site , so its a free site ?

MyTvOnline is an app for android tv box, not a website/page
 
You can on all apart from the Z Nano I think. They are great boxes imo. Just on the pricey side. But I guess you get what you pay for?

having a goo read up on em now , I assume that "mytv online " is just an IPTV sub . there are quite a few models to choose from mind ? I like linux but andrid has so many apps that you can add easily.
 
I have the Z7+ and the S mini, z7+ is a cracking wee box, few teething probs with the s mini but build quality is great, the S mini has a DVB sat tuner, so you can have best of both, tuner and android system
