No you just simply flash it and it wipes the current image whilst installing the new one ... make sure you have your line details written down somewhere first though obviously as any settings / recordings etc. will be wiped.
 
Does Wooshbuild work with the Vu Solo2 se with a twin cable tuner? Currently using vix with the slyk skin but fancy a change
 
Advice : Running Zgemma h2s for IPTV running latest wooshbuild

Is the Vu+ Solo2 a better performer than the Zgemma H2S for HD content?

Wooshman, installed your build a few days ago on solo2 and it's running very smooth. Must say I came from openvix and Wooshman's build puts it to shame :-) just one thing Wooshman bbc1 and 2 are swapped in the channel listing's I changed it using echannelizer but it swapped when the list updated. Thanks for all your hard work wooshman much appreciated.

Recently got a Solo2 after 18months with an H2S (always with wooshbuild), stuck on V7 as soon as box arrived (up and running in less than 10 mins), just like the H2S except a lot faster....

It is possible to use this image in Meoboot on VU+Solo2.

Ive got a vu solo2 running wooshbuild (latest version), I've put my iptv multirooom sub on it via script, but i can't get pause, rewind etc to work. I previously had a zgemma running ipab, which it worked on no problem but since i moved over to the vu it seems to of stopped working. It will work fine on free view channels just not iptv.

Any suggestions?
 
Sorry if this is a stpuid question or been covered but I have a vu+ solo2 box and considering flashing with wooshbuild but have a few questions if possible please:

1. This says v5 but I notice v7 is the latest wooshbuild, can I not install v7 on my box?

2. I assume wooshbuild is just a backup image ready setup of openatv? Like a "build" on Kodi?

3. I currently use openvix, what are the big gains with openatv/wooshbuild over openvix?

4. Finally I can't find the download link, whenever I go to wooshbuild website it says I need to be a techkings user which I am?

5. in my current openvix setup i have a number of tv show recording timers set and also a number of tv shows previously recorded saved to my HDD. will this still be saved or do i need to back them up?

Wooshbuild V7 is the latest version and yes it can be put on the solo2
Install instructions are here.

Just flash basebuild and follow the on screen instructions. Basebuild will ask if its ok to initalise your hdd so just select no, and your recordings will still be on your hdd ready to use as before.

In the link above you will also see a link to the wooshbuild support thread. This covers all boxes, so have a read before you start and you will probably find all you need to know

Openatv vs vix its all down to personal choice they both do the same thing really. Just flash woosbuild and make your own mind up if you dont like it then just go back to vix

I have a solo2 running wooshbuild and ive never had any trouble with it at all

Lovely thank you... Just to check if I say no to initialize HDD i will still be able to record onto that hard drive with the current files already on there also being saved and watchable via wooshbuild?

Also I ready about changing recorded programmes to ext3 or 4? Any help or guidance on this please? What would openvix do as standard and what does wooshbuild do?
