To set a static ip address on your box m8, go to network on your box, untick DHCP, then put a static ip address on the box, the address has to be within the ip address that your router gives out.. etc..if router gives out 192.168.0.1- 49... then you could put in 192.168.0.2... but be aware as others may be using that one, so pick one that is not getting used, try something like 192.168.0.10 or whatever is not getting used...
