New box to replace zGemma H2S

Hi all,

I'm now looking to replace/upgrade my old H2S that has given up the ghost. I can no longer record and the box runs very slow. Have tried doing a full reset etc but I think it's just knackered so wanted to ask what other boxes are out there specifically at the top-end.

I use the zgemma for IPTV and need something that can record. I'm currently running iPab but am happy to look at other boxes that mightn't run that image. Key thing for me is finding a high performance box that I can record on.

I don't know if any boxes out there exist with an internal HDD, that'd be even better than having an external one.

Any recommendations greatly received.

Zgemma H7 has 3 tuners and internal hdd and is a fast Arm7 box.

Cheers mate.

Any discernible difference between H7S and H7C. They're both the same price (£125), one is 4k and 1x DVB the other isn't 4k but is 2x DVB. Not sure if any of that affects my use primarily for IPTV?

Just looking at specs and I can't see any mention of a hard-drive or capacity for an internal hdd. Do you have to buy one and fit it or does one come installed?

I can only see memory referenced in terms of "4GB EMMC NAND Flash/ 1GB DDR3 Timeshift" but not sure if this is what shows would be recorded to. I currently have a 1tb drive so 4gb seems quite small.

Cheers again.

The H7S has 2 x sat tuners + 1 x cable/terrestrial tuner.
The H7C has 2 x cable/terrestrial tuners and 1 x sat tuner.
Both exactly the same apart from that. Should have no problem running IPTV.

You have to buy a hdd and fit it yourself. The cables bracket and screws are included.

The NAND flash is where the operating system lives and DDR3 is the memory.
You need a hdd or usb stick for recordings.

Got a HDD here so can just put that in it for recording on to. Cheers mate.
