firestick memory

hi all. just got a issue with my firestick (not 4k)
i have this warning which pops up ans basically stopping me using any apps stb/ smarters etc ?
it says memory full and i need to delete apps etc ? although the stick says i have 5 gig approx i am only using 3 gig. this i dont understand. please point me in the right direction ?

Clear cache off device or if you have all details reset it

clear cache from where ? i have removed the cache from most of the apps. but these are only very small. i use stb emu and a couple of movie apps thats about it. i dont really want to reset to factory ?

Don't know then is there any other apps you don't bother with

there are just the amazon apps that wont let me delete. i have vlc player mx player to view iptv. i just dont get that it says i have 5 gig avail and i have used 3 gig. so why say i have run out of memory etc ?

Have you tried disconnecting power supply then rebooting

That’s what I do if I have any probs with firestick , remove from hdmi port and disconnect power for a minute. Gotta be worth a try ...full power off/on. If that doesn’t work and you can’t find anything else to delete ... have you check the downloads folder then If your ok reloading everything yourself , factory reset has to be the next step.

As you have cleared the cache on all your amazon apps have you noticed what the data readings are for these apps Video,Store, Games Photos etc as I clear the data and cache from all Amazon loaded apps on a regular basis I have also deleted all the apps I no longer need or use all I have on my stick is iptv smarters and Smart iptv and VLC player,but like I said check the data also and delete it from all the apps you don't need if they are showing large amounts

It keeps the streaming data in the internal memory. Once you near the remaining internal storage limit it throws up the warning.

Change the channel and it will clear.

In fact if you do that every hour you'll never see that message again.

ok but i cannot do that. once i try and open the sb emu app on load up the out of memory appears so it wont load up ?

Could be a dodgy STB EMU Pro APK then possibly? Try making a note of the MAC Address you gave your provider, delete the Stb Emu app and find another APK from a different source??
