exscuse if this is double posted as can't find original post,
I'm looking to buy a budget box , the Mrs doesnt watch much TV and we've just got rid of SLY. Myself and the kids are missing it. I want a satt box but on a very limited budget , would I be better with say a cloud ibox 2 plus new or a used genuine dreambox ? oriiginally going to get an openbox/skybox type of thing but after a lot of readfing they seem to be full of problems ?
I've got zero knowledge of linux but do like to learn new stuff.
Any help/tips appreciated and apologies for the newbie daft question

the most simple is a skybox you can get them for about £50. The cloud box is a linux sat box that takes quite a bit of setting up. so for a beginner i would suggest the skybox just make sure it is not a clone.

if the box [Linux] has image and bootloader already installed is it still a steep learning curve ? in regards the Skybox is there anyway of buying genuine as Fleabay is full of adverts ? still a bit concerned by peoples postings about skybox reliability.
Cheers

I would go for the blade bm5000s, it's £80 over the skybox.

There is no worry's about clones, and you can update the channel lists
direct to the box using blade online.

No messing about using USB's and finding the latest AJ's list.

In the Skybox area there are skybox, openbox, libertveiw I loose track of which one, if any,
are genuine boxes these days lol
