2 Lines only 1 will work at a time?

Hi guys I have 2 cables coming from a splitter at front of house but only 1 will work at a time, any suggestions?

what splitter is it? is it one fitted by virmin or one you have installed?

what box have you got?
do you have 2 x 'lines' as in cccam/Ncam etc?
