THE biggest names in darts are preparing to make their debuts at The O2 as the McCoy's Premier League Darts visits Dublin on Thursday March 22.
Led by the legendary Phil 'The Power' Taylor, the eight stars will compete in the seventh league night of the £450,000 tournament, which reaches its half-way point as the players cross the Irish Sea.
The four matches on the night in Dublin will include Taylor's high-profile clash with 2009 Premier League champion James Wade, the world number three.
Reigning Premier League Darts champion Gary Anderson, from Scotland, meets five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld, while World Champion Adrian Lewis takes on newcomer Kevin Painter.
Another Premier League debutant, Andy Hamilton, will play 2010 World Championship finalist Simon Whitlock in the night's other match, with the whole event being screened live on Sky Sports HD.
The McCoy's Premier League Darts is being held from February-May, with the visit to The O2 being the seventh of 14 league nights as the players meet twice in the league phase before the top four contest the Play-Offs.
Taylor is bidding to win his sixth Premier League Darts title since the tournament was introduced in 2005, while Wade and Anderson are the other players to have lifted the trophy.
Taylor has already hit a nine-dart finish during this season's Premier League, in Aberdeen in February, while van Barneveld has previously achieved a perfect leg twice in the tournament's history.
