5000s timer recording issue - wont record

I used to record things fine, but recently the last two things I have recorded, i've woke up to find them not recorded. All I see is a black screen when I play it from "my recorder".

I leave my box on, dont put it on standby or turn it off.

try rebooting box and unplug external usb hd drive then re-attach, this sometimes use to work when I had same problem with BM7000s, that's if it had recorded the programme.

But sometimes It didn't I made sure the USB drive was working ok and even re-formatted it, but it drove me mad trying to figure out why it didn't record sometimes
