Accessing root

Hi.
Is it possible to get into root on a Skybox F5s like you can with a Dreambox and VU box?
I tried to access it with putty and also dcc but it came up with a connection error.

I'd doubt it,
Its not an enigma2 box, its kinda just a 'dumb' os,
I suppose it depends just what you want to do with it, there may be another way.

I was hoping to set up an f5s I have to run an IPTV script (wget -0) for my grandaughter, but obviously that is out.
I tried to use one of the several Dreamboxes (800HD) that I have lying around but although the script loads and I see all the channels, nothing actually runs.
I used the same script on my VU+ box and some of them work quite well whilst others either dont run or freeze a lot.

On a different track, anyone any idea why my VU+ will happily turn a dish motor sitting on my carpet yet when I mount it on the pole.... nothing although I can move the dish using the buttons on it (Alsat dark motor) I just ran a brand new 6mm cable just incase.
The cable is about 10mtrs long.
This is my second motor with the same problem.
