add cable tuner to H2S

if i want to add a cable tuner to my H2S which one should i use?
i use OpenATV.

I think you would be better buying a h2h which has a cable tuner or if you want satellite and cable buy something like a H5.2tc.

You would be better buying a combi box.

not sure i want to go down the route of buying a new box unless it would be cheaper than buying a tuner.
i don't need/want dual cable tuners.

A H2H is about £55.00 and at a guess a cable tuner would be £40.00 or more.

Ive a sundtek cable tuner on my vu solo2 for last 2 years at least.Still working away,be sure to get the sundtek plugin to configure the tuner for your area etc.

people used to use a usb tuner but had mixed reports, it is possible to buy a cable tuner for the H2H direct from Zgemma but you will need to do some soldering to switch them over... much easier to replace your box for a combi receiver & then recover some of the cost by selling your old box

the value of an H2S must be pretty much rock bottom i would think.
most H2H boxes i've seen are going for £70+.

both the H2s & H2h are very dated now, similar price range newer boxes out perform them: an example would be the Edision OS Nino Combo at £79 (can run sly/cable & iptv subs)

i just need a basic box to use for cable.
not bothered about IPTV or recording etc
just viewing.

would prefer to use OpenATV too.
