Alfawise S92 / Beelink GT1 dark video low brightness permanent fix

The only thing thats been bugging me about my alfawise s92 is kodi is very dark, especially when watching a movie the dark parts of the film are to dark, i seem to struggle to see whats going on.
The youtube link below shows how to rectify the problem.

 
Install the custom superceleron Rom from freaktabs, fixes the dark screen and makes the box a lot better

I've had a few of each these boxes & never had issues with dark video in kodi on either box. Is it a firmware issue?
 
Im on the recent firmware m111, i had the same problem on the previous firmware m109. I was hoping the firmware update would solve it but it didn't. I applied the fix in the youtube video and the picture is how it should be, brighter and lots of detail rather than dark and shadowy.
I'll definately gonna try the superceleron rom when i get some spare time.
