most of the compatible m3u players for android will work fine with amiko a3, as for android being out of date its lollipop if I remember correctly it dont really matter as most apps still work fine, I have kodi on mine and it works fine for a variety of different uses, plus if you install terranium tv android apps etc your all good to go.
Even though I dont use mine much these days its still worth it to have a line on oscam as the channels that still clear are still better and reliable than anything iptv has to offer and is a good backup.
