Hi I have a problem with clutching and freezing. I have tried a new line and also a different vm connection in a friend's house and it's still the same the firmware is 1.5.12. If I upgrade do you think it may cure my problems thanks glen

Perhaps but probably not that, have you tried the basics -
Check all your connections are tight and there are no splits in them
Have you got the correct net Id for your area?
Have you got a good quality splitter?
Good quality cables?
All these things count towards a stable picture.
Try a few more test lines there are more bad lines than good, we have all had to trawl thru a few lines before we found a good one

The splitter is an original vm. And cables all seem ok. Vm has only been installed in the second house 12 months. I have checked the net of and seem to be right with what I can see on here. I will try another trial line today to see if it makes any changes thanks
