anyone got a venton unibox hd eco+ ?

£79 at the moment, build quality looks pretty good,

does anyone actually use one of these and can offer some thoughts as to tuner sensitivity etc on cable?

yes i have one tuner and everything is fine

However openvix no longer update there image for it because the box is no longer manufactured so you can get a vix offical image but it hasn't been updated since February and they don't plan to update it works fine tho as i use this image

if your not an openvix user like myself all other images are up to date

Yes good box, quick in the menu and can hold a 1tb hardrive internal, you can also watch and record

I've got one I bought a week ago but some channels have went of or freezing others are fine, been trying to fix but getting nowhere.

ok,

just spent about ten minutes setting it up for sat and cable,

this is a lot more responsive than the zgemmas, key presses are instantly recognised with no lag on the menus at all.

for £79 it was a steal!

Is it possible to flash these with kiddics or sucmsees vix image or is it bare bones only?

tbh i didn't try it.

not taking anything away from the guys work but i prefer a clean image with minimal addons.

eveything you need can be downloaded from the box menu anyway :-)
