Anyone know a way to get IPTV (International) EPG working on Enigma 2?

I did read somewhere E2-XC Plugin has the ability which i tried by entering the IPTV URL, Username and Password in etc/enigma2 but only like 1-2 EPGs appeared for the channels via the plugins..

I also read somewhere you could some how export a list from a TV shedule site (as XML) and then get the EPG code implemented via E-Channelizer if someone has knowledge or knows an alternative method please comment below.

Any useful information would be appreciated.

I need EPG for Indian, Pakistan and US channels in particular please,

Thanks

you can use E-channelizer and edit each channel to match the channel id. you can get the files at webgrabplus

The above will only work if you have epg sources set up for usa etc

I've only managed to add uk/roi epg to my IPTV channels.

This is quite a hard process just at the moment to get the Epg for other countries you can get the epg for uk and roi no problem but total diffrent ball game for other countries.

i would reccomend using this 2booms m3u plugin for your iptv as you can place the m3u directly onto your USB/HDD and is very easy to use here is the link to my dropbox for the plugin

https://www.dropbox.com/home/Zgemma IPTV?preview=IPTV+Plugin.rar

im still working on trying to get the epg for other countries but its quite a tricky process at the moment and have used the xc plugin but found the 2boom version a lot better and easier to use

I've only found one provider that provides epg and also downloads the m3u and places them into separate bouquets. It's all done via a script using your user name and password

Did MTP not find someone that worked well with the Rytec IPTV source?

I don't think so because the source didn't do anything to my IPTV channels

Slightly off topic

Something like what dsayer has there is really only something that can be achieved by the iptv supplier as they need to have a unique stream reference for each stream and have a hosted EPG source..
I ahve seen some weird ass implementations of assigning EPG the messiest one had to be the one that created approx 18 bouquets, with approx 20 shells scripts being run and 20 wget commands to pull data from Dropbox aswell as completely overwriting your crontab entries and then force a reboot on the box at the end of it all.

The easiest way is if the iptv provider actually sets the stream reference equal to an entry in the lamedb which means the EPG is automatically assigned (basically this is what happens with echanneliser for UK/ROI), then for non UK/ROI to assign a unique reference..

tommycahir it's the same script

Had sort of guessed that, could be so much tidier (put everything into one sources file, point source to dropbox rather than wget them every 8 hours) but it works and guy has put a massive amount of work into getting the epg assigned so fair play to them.

BTW I will add my guide to this forum at some stage over the next week so might be of some assistance to people here. just need to find time to copy paste them all..

Following this thread and struggling to get international EPG on my IPTV sub. Have used E-chanelizer to populate UK EPG no problem but wanting to get the rest sorted.

Unless your supplier can let you have a script, that apparently you run in putty to populate all EPG, I think I am rite in saying you are out of luck at the moment, Ive not seen anyone get past the UK EPG thus far anyway

I have but you need to find or create the data source for the epg, Here is a nice summary of the task from openpli guys who run epgimport plugin

You have to make your own import settings as the service references can be anything you fancy. You will need an OpenPli image from after 20/12/2013
A working example:
In the bouquet file you have this as channel reference (here the Nostalgie radiostation in Belgium)
Code:
#SERVICE 4097:0:1:1000:1000:0:0:0:0:0:http%3a//stream10.fluoline.net%3a80/:Nostalgie
#DESCRIPTION Nostalgie
You have to make a channels.xml file containing:
Code:

<channels>

1:0:1:1000:1000:0:0:0:0:0:http%3a//example.com

</channels>

The part http%3a//example.com is really needed, but can be the same for all channels.
Also the 4097 has to be replaced by a 1
I called this file test.channels.xml and placed it in etc/epgimport
Now you have to reference this channels file in the sources.xml file. Place in etc/epgimport a file something.sources.xml which contains:
Code:

<sources>

test XMLTV

</sources>

You could edit the rytec.sources.xml by adding the above, but I do not recommend it as the file will be overwritten when you update your box. The advise is thus to make a separate something.sources.xml file. The XMLTV importer will read both this file and the rytec.sources.xml file.
PS: with something I mean really any name you can dream up.

once I get some time I will put a more detailed guide in this forum.. I have it on other enigma2 communities but can't post the link here due to forum rules..
