If my tivo had an attenuator at the cable input, would my Edision OS mini also need this?

I have never used them, I leave them on the Tivo boxes if I split the cable
but haven't needed them for any other box.

I have one on my duo 2 stopped the glitching for me but I only have Bb not tv
