problem i find with recording on the SD is it lags and freezes, think ur better off with a hybrid that takes an internal harddrive

I've never had any issues with recordings although I don't have the H5.2TC but I have the H2.H with an additional usb dvb-c tuner so pretty much the same.

What have u done to add additional dvb-c on the h2h. Can u record and watch different channels with this?

It's prohibitive to add a USB tuner these days. A good one is £40-£50.
You would be better off buying a new twin cable box.

Well which box would you advise? I'm thinking h5.2tc? Is that able for the channel switch and record?

The H5.2TC is a good receiver and you would be able to watch one and record another.

Not the same firmware, no. H.2H is H3 and H5.2TC is H5.

Yes and has 3 tuners if you have an old satellite feed as well.

Plenty on FreeSat and the discovery channels still work on c/s on satellite.
I've got cable and satellite.
