Best Box For Your Money Currently

Hi All,

Been a long time lurker and this place has provided some invaluable guides to help setting up my previous ZGemma H2S from scratch (custom image, Sky Skin, *free gift* etc etc...)

After having that for around a year and having the usual glitches and random reboots I'd like to go for something more powerful - so what would the best machines out there currently be?

Was looking at the ET8500 and the VU boxes?

I'd like to have a dual viewer and possibly HDD to record (don't mind it being external/caddy or internal).

Only real packages that come fully set up are the ZGemma boxes that I can find so if needs be i'll set the next box up from scratch again.

Thanks

Have a lok through this post at what people say about the different boxes: http://www.techkings.org/general-satellite-discussion/77914-buyers-guide-best-box.html

I will always say get the best box you can afford, look at the hardware spec's and the brand. the ET8500 is a more powerful box than a zgemma but a zgemma is more powerful than some starter boxes and a VU 4K is more powerful than a ET8500. Just make sure you account for shipping costs, USB if needed and hard drive plus a line if you don't have one or your current line only allows 1 connection as a twin/tripple tuner box need 2 or 3 connections to work.

Personally I'd say the ET8500, look at my review here: http://www.techkings.org/general-satellite-discussion/98583-xtrend-et8500-review.html
and the look at 1554lesliebuild to flash it with here: http://www.techkings.org/general-sa...satellite-cable-iptv-system-2.html#post561584
