Blade 5000s firmware problem

got a blade 5000s with dec 2014 firmware

it will not load any firmware on this site and just gets a flash match type error every time

it was on julys firmware and everything worked and the config file showed on the usb but now even that has gone

has the latest firmware stopped the box from updating any other ssu file apart from the official one

any help in solving this would be appreciated
 
Haven't had one of these boxes for a while now but I know they are working

Download a firmware from the download section and try that. there isn't any real difference between the feb and july versions.

July was supposed to fix youtube - youporn etc but I think it only done it for a short while.

just to add, new blade 5000s are shipped with a 2015 firmware and they too cannot be written over by any of the files on here, it seems cannot downgrade

That's what I'd do. Sounds like you ain't got nothing to lose if you can't flash any firmware to the box via usb. If you can get it up and running with the OFW from Blade,at least you can then reflash with the CFW with 9991. Good luck fella.Let us know how you get on.(y)

flash match type error" the blade 5000s I've just got is running a March 2015 firmware.

Can you please let me know if there is a fix to downgrade this unit? and steps etc, or can anyone point me in the right direction to find out more info on the RS232 PC to STB Flash Loader option?

I may see if I can return the unit if theres no fix at this time.

Got a usb to rs232 lead and been trying to get it to flash firmware but just comes up with error 1 ??

cannot get it to recognise the box, running windows 7 32 bit on an older pc just in case 64 bit is an issue

anybody with a tutorial on how Novahd upgrader actually work would be fantastic, as it stands ive got a freeview sat hd box noiw because of the flipping none ability to downgrade
 
Just used nova upgrader to try flash julys firmware.
goes all the way to the end and then checks file and once again errors all the time on all firmware on here and even jan and julys firmware from blademedia
Coming to the end of my tether now
tried all ways now
Now.... only last ditch attempt I can think of is if somebody on here with a working box can backup or dump their file onto a usb then upload it on here so can try to see if it will work

I know I should have backed up but didn`t so here I am begging for help


ANYBODY?? PLEASE!!!
 
hi i updated the Blade media with the latest firmware but now i cant seem to log into the hidden menu by pressing 9991. if i were to do factory reset and then use a patched firmware would that resolve it or am i unable to downgrade. thanks
