Blade 5000s wont connect

HELP PLEASE!

My mate's 5000s has stopped working after a year without ahiccup.
I have installed my Vu at his house and it works fine.
I have installed his Blade at my house and it works as it should

as soon as it is re-installed at his house channels show scrambled
It is showing max internet signal strength. Finds the network IP etc All shows ok

we have tried another router still doesnt work

Newcamd Config shows YELLOW. At my house it shows green

Anyone had a prob like this before please? Champions League tomorrow and he is moaning like my missus

Long shot here, have you tried a new Ethernet cable? Are you using homeplugs, have you reset them?

New cables new everything
He also has a HUMAX freesat box that is used for iplayer etc and that works fine

Then you've all but ruled out everything apart from the connection, connects at yours but not at his yeah? Has anything else changed recently, you say its been running a year without issue, has he changed isp?
 
nothing has changed. works great at mine on a Virgin connection. his has been on Plus net since Nov last year Just stopped!

Now I could be wrong here but there was postings re: their routers causing issues, definitely no issues with the bband?

That is something we dont know!
my box worksfine all WIFi to tablet and phone works fine
PC to internet via wifi or LAN works fine
We tried his old router and that connected to internet via lan ok
same problem with both routers NOT CONNECTED
re-loaded firmware, reloaded N line and still the same.

Might be worthwhile giving them a call to find out the service status
 
i assume you mean Plus Net? never had that type of issue before. Im spoilt at mine with Virgin, it is always good.
 
Brought the Blade back to my house and all works fine.

Back to drawing board.

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Yes we are
However it seems as if there is a cable fault to the house
Open reach still haven't found it
Now box might work for a couple of days and then it stops
I'll post when sorted

It could be your Internet speed. Do a ping test on the menu and see what you get my cousin has same box and he uses EE 4G mobile broadband box and he gets the odd drop out and thats down to the Internet speed his ping is 38ish ms when pinging Google
 
Hi Back again
Fault still unresolved.
Open reach attended and said all connections are working fine. However box was working ok when he attended.
4 days later box stopped. Brought it back to my house and it works fine. Returned to my mates house and it doesnt work.

all PC's Laptops Pads and phones working ok JUST THE BLADE

can i update the ethernet interface on this box?

Quite honestly im Foxxed!
 
Sounds like a fault on the box, or a dodgy ethernet cable,
first I would try a different ethernet cable, I know you siad you have changed cables but
I would still check again, then I would run it at yours for a few days and see if it disconnects.

If it is all OK then it's back to plus net.

have a mates box that runs fine at my house but at his it runs for a little while then scrambled channels and box freezes ....any ideas
