Blade 8000 combo

Hi, is it possible to use a blade 8000 combo on cable? Can you just enter information on the 9991 menu as you do connecting to a dish?

Yes suitable for sat/cable (with a live cable feed TV or BB) have a look at the Blade Combo 7000 set up very similar but different firmware.

Would I need to change any settings on the box? Or could I basically unplug from dish and plug in cable lead?

Both sat/cable can be connect at the same time, if firmware installed is working for sat it will work for cable, only a cable sub needed and a scan for cable channels

What's a cable sub and how would I do cable channel scan? Sorry if I sound thick, only ever used connected to a dish! I update channels on the blade media online section.

You pay a sub/line for your encrypted channels eg Sky Sports, menu - Installation - Turner 2 Scan - Symbol Rate for your area, Telewest 6.952, NTL 6887, not played with one for a while perhaps others could correct my post.
Cable connection is the top far right at the back.

yes a sky line won't work on cable side

His needing help. My 8000 box is showing Lnbf. I have changed the lnb outside but no success. Anyone any suggestions please.

you would mate prices vary but you can get for around £20-£60 a year depends on the seller.you get it all in HD to on a virgin line
