you need a dish set up (ex Sky system is good enough) and a good reliable quick broadband connection. If you are going to be more adventurous a motorised dish set up is required. But you will also need a subscription to a server, which will cost you. So why would you choose sat over cable? Well cable boxes been off a bit lately but are generally cheaper to run, eeven if you need a new box every year. Sat set ups are more flexible and if one sub goes bump your next one can be up and running in a few hours.
