BM5000S USB Hard drive

Does anyone have any recommendations for make of USB hard drive to hang out of the back of my BM5000S?

I know its not keen on my Kingston 16GB Stick, it keeps saying 'Device speed too slow'

Some boxes don't like really big HDD's so you may not
want to go overboard with the capacity.

I use a 500mb, (This is on a BM7000s, haven't got round to the 5000 box yet) don't think the type makes much
difference, me and my mates all have different types
and nobody has any issues.
