Box Freezes (Not Picture)

Hi, Mega pleased with my box and only occasionally get freezing issues, however just recently the box has started freezing.....

I know when this has happened because the clock on the front is froze at the time it happened..... only way to get back to life = power off......

Any ideas??

all depends on what you have setup to run on box,might have to check image skins usb as you have not mentioned anything yet

Mines just done this....14.45 frozen on bbchd....cant even open webif.

Had to reboot at the back, dont think its overheating. Do people have these boxes to sleep at night?

I leave mine on standby, you don't really want to power off over night as normally the automatic updates, ABM & EPG etc tend to run early hours and the box needs to be at least in standby for that

Is that on a timer?

Yes but not set in 'timers', it's set in ABM configuration and Epg Importer screen (assuiming they are the plugins used)

Buy a powered hhd don't rely on usb starving your box :)

what hdd you using? try a small (32gb or so) usb stick before replacing hdd to see if you have same problem, if you do then it's not the hdd
