cable set up

you have to have a signal to scan on ,it will work on bb or if you had an old kv /starview/ live connection.

you must have some sort of vm feed, either bb or tv service,it comes in the house on the same cable, meaning coax.If you have had vm service in the way past, you might be lucky & still have a live signal. Not sure about this, one way to check if you have a live signal feed is to connect a known working box to it. Hope this helps..

You don't need VM broadband any ISP will do.

However as said above you will need a live cable feed in to the house.

If you know you have got a live cable feed because you have been using a KV box for instance
then there is no need to change the ISP.

Some cable feeds have been left live for years but you always run the risk of getting cut off from
the main box in your street at some point, it will probably happen 20 mins before the end of a big footy match lol

So to guarantee this doesn't happen a VM broadband only package is the
cheapest and safest method.
