Evening all, iv'e been using oscam on my cable box for a short time now, i have recently been trying a few tests from members on the forum, i can't seem to get the tests running well, just changed to mgcamd and it's a lot better, is oscam not very good for cable?

I run oscam on all my cable boxes, h2h, h52tc, h7c and vu+ Uno 4K and they all work fine, but I have seen some people have had to include some additional settings in their oscam.server file that I don't.

Thanks, i have tried those additional settings, still the same though, i saw them on another forum, there maybe other settings i can change? i use an xtrend 8500 for cable, not the best box iv'e used, could be the box is the problem, been using mgcamd for the last half hour with no problems, don't like to feel i have failed to get it working, working fine on satellite side though.

Just keep it simple. Post us your cable reader minus line obv for starters.

Could be a timeout setting or server doesn't want you using it. For reshare purposes. You asked them?

Try simple reader anyway like below(fine for client end)

Oscam works as good as any other cam if configured correctly
I have used Mgcamd, CCcam & Oscam on five different boxes and not found any difference
Hope This Helps :)
