cant get new skins to load up on virmin skin?

Hi hoping someone can help out!

im running a cable based software under vermin sub. works great but i want to change to a new updated skin....

ive installed via usn and ftp but when i go back in to skins in set up it aint there????? Cant find them anywhere!!!

okay the ipk file should be going in the tmp folder on your zgemma.
when it is in there your going to need to install it from the zgemma

openatv:
Menu > setup > software management > install local extension click ok in the skin file then green to install

openvix
Menu > setup > VIX > Ipkg install > Green to install the skin.

reboot your box.

then go menu > setup > system > user interface > skin setup > click on the skin which has been installed.

reboot box then when it boots up again it should have the skin applied :grin:
 
hi mate,

i reinstalled the image, managed to get new sky skin working then :)

trouble i only have now is when you press epg only 'all channels' last scanned' come up.....

use to be sports movies an docs ect,

any ideas? ive messed about with no luck :(

Yeah what image did you install.
You need to put the channel categories back in the bouquets.

have you set up the tuners?
do you use sat and cable or just 1 of them tell me more so I can help you.

you basically need to go to autobouquetsmaker and install run a scan but first need to set tuners up
 
vix image mate, cant i just ad the categories back in manually?

just cable for now mate going to install sky aswell midweek though
