Cant update outdated OpenATV with boot stuck problem

Hi guys. How can I update my Zgemma h2h to the latest OpenATV. It's not been updated in about a year and abit.
It's on 5.3, kernel 4.0.2, 18.08.16 was the last update - and trying to flash via local results in the box stuck on boot. I don't want to lose my current settings/plugins, anyway to update the files by PC and then try on the reciever or something, Thanks.
 
is the box is stuck in flash you will need to flash

do you have a backup of your current setup?
if you have you can flash it, backup your items and make a system settings backup
and restore them to a new flash
 
Hi. Yes I have a complete and settings backup. Problem is I cant update without it hanging due to been so long non updated. Is it possible to do a full fresh latest openatv flash and restore settings/plugins from a backup?
 
Yea, flash it and in the menu or can do it easy enough, doesn't do all plugins or skin
But when you add the plugin the settings will be the same


You can do it during the setup at the start, if it on USB
Or you can do it from the menu after in settings
