Change from what?
Mgcamd is a softcam, others include CCcam and Oscam - they're all softcams.
are you trying to change from Cccam to mgcamd?

this tells me nothing.
Change from what? - what softcam or line do you have now? - if you have a C line, you'll have to ask your provider to change it to a mgcamd line that starts CWS =
Mgcamd softcam can only open lines that start CWS = if yours starts with C: or N: then those are opened with CCcam softcam

I’ve got a cccam 2.3.0
Some one told me I can change this over,
I’m having loads of problems with it freezing

you can try to change it from C line to CWS but more often than not, they use different ports, EG a C line may use port 15550 and a CWS line port 18000, so even though you can edit the details, you won't know which port
if you contact your supplier, it will take him less than 5 seconds to change it for you

On the set up of the the h2h box I have a white box on the wall with one cable coming out going into another splitter then 2 cables out of that one is this right or should both cables be going back to the splitter in the white box on the wall

you should be using the least amount of splitters as possible because the signal is degraded with each one.
Try removing the second splitter and put one cable to the box and one to the router from the box on the wall
