CCTV BT hub & IP address question

I recently set up a CCTV for a friend he's on BT. I set up the remote app using this IP and port forwarding but over the past 3 weeks his IP address has changed 3 times. This means his remote phone app stops till the IP is changed to the new one.

I have the same set up on Virgin and my IP hasn't changed in years. He's an older guy and totally useless with tech so I have to call to sort it.
Is there anything I can do to stop it changing and stay the same like Virgin ?
It's a HiWatch system

I will ask, thanks. Is that normal for BT power off new IP ?. When I logged onto his wifi I typed whatsmyip in my Google I got either his IPv4 or 6 a great big long number.

I had to try a few different sites till I got the new IP address.
I only know the basics

Even a cable or sat box can get a different ip on box by rebooting or powering off as i found out when my mounts changed.
Enigma 2 boxes usually an ip like 192.168.1.111.
I would imagine his router and wifi login has not changed as you can login

His hub remains same login default from the sticker. I've told him not to reboot
Or
Turn off at night unplugging everything

If you are using an app then it shouldn't matter if the IP changes.
Try XMeye , it uses a QR code linked to the boxes MAC address

Managed it thanks, I was using the hikvision iVMS-4500 app and I just kept getting 'invalid serial number".
I didn't even know there was another app called hik-connect till last night after luckily dropping on a youtube video.
Thank you for the help all the above
